About Zackcast
A sports briefing product — every league's headlines on their own board, attributed to the newsroom that filed them, plus email digests and original explainers.
What Zackcast is
Zackcast is a sports briefing product built around one problem: following more than one sport without keeping eight team sites, four league apps and a feed of arguments open at once. We run a headline board for each league we cover — the NFL, NBA, MLB, college football, the NHL, soccer, tennis, golf, fighting, racing, college basketball and your own city's teams — plus email digests and a library of original explainers on reading sports coverage.
We are not a wire service and we have nobody in a press box. We do not host publisher articles. When a game or a signing matters, our job is to identify the story, attribute it, and send you to the newsroom that broke it.
What you will find here
- League boards — attributed stories by sport and by city, linking out to the original publishers.
- Story briefs — headline, source, timestamp, and the publisher's own short teaser, with a prominent link to the full report. Never a republication of the article body.
- Insights — original explainers written by our desk on how sports coverage works, with bylines and dates.
- Newsletters — optional email digests for the sports you choose to follow.
Editorial standards
Everything on the site is either third-party material (headlines from public feeds) or our own original writing. The two are kept visually and structurally distinct: third-party headlines always carry a publisher name and timestamp, and our own writing always carries a byline and dates.
Original Zackcast articles are reviewed for accuracy and clarity before publication. Factual errors are corrected with a dated note rather than silently rewritten. Corrections go to deepinsight66@gmail.com and reach a person.
We do not scrape publisher article bodies onto our pages. An earlier version of this site extracted full article text into a reader view; that capability was removed, because reproducing a publisher's reporting on our domain captures value from work we did not do.
Our full editorial standards, including what we refuse to publish, are set out in the Insights library.
Advertising
Google-served ads appear on our original Insights articles. They do not appear on the aggregated headline feed or on story-brief pages, because the content on those screens is not ours.
We also show clearly labelled sponsored placements from other partners. Any paid placement is marked as sponsored or promoted. No advertiser has any influence over what appears on our headline boards or what our desk writes.
Nothing here is betting advice
Sports coverage now arrives wrapped in odds, and some of the headlines our boards carry — and some of our own explainers — discuss betting lines and what they imply. That material is informational. We do not issue picks, plays, or tips, we take no position on any market, and nothing here is a recommendation to wager. If gambling has stopped being entertainment for you, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-522-4700, free and confidential, 24 hours a day.
